ADVANCE NOTICE OF STUDY DAY Over the past few years, the District Church and Society Group has been involved in organising an annual Study Day on a topic of current interest. This year the Church and Society Group/Diocese of York Social Responsibility Council/York Forum for Racial Concerns has taken the significant decision to sponsor a joint, ecumenical Study Day. This is enabling the event to be planned on a larger scale than in previous years. The programme being planned provides for keynote input during the morning and a series of workshops in the afternoon. A social time and lunch are an important element of the day. The task group has been fortunate in already gaining some high profile support. The key details at this stage are: Saturday 25th October 2008 Ampleforth Abbey Topic: The Middle East and Christian Responsibility Chair: Sir David Goodhall The programme and further details will be published in due course. We invite you to book the date - we anticipate that there will be considerable demand for the approximately 100 delegate places.
